Working with our Credit Assurance function, undertaking independent second line evaluation of adequacy and effectiveness of the credit risk management, you will play a critical role where you will focus on:
Support the Executive Manager deliver new optimisation initiatives and other projects relating to Credit Risk Assurance process and methodology
Implement reporting solutions (including dashboards/heat maps) via a series of technology-based tools
Identify portfolio data trends and other insights that warrant management oversight
Guide, coach and mentor team members and other stakeholders through the change management process
Monitor the progress of optimisation, review updates and assist with management reporting
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the broader assurance program is delivered in a professional, coordinated and efficient manner.

What do I need?
The role would suit someone with a background in assurance, risk & compliance, quality assurance, process optimisation and agile project management, with the following skills, experience, education and/or expertise:
Proven project execution that involves business transformation
Strong understanding of the end to end Credit Risk management process, with previous underwriting/approval authority experience across Retail and/or Commercial Bank segments
Demonstrated understanding of key Credit related regulatory obligations (APS 112, 113, 220 and 221, Responsible Lending, CoBP)
Technical aptitudes in data analytics and control automation. This includes the ability to analyse large datasets using SAS/SQL/Tableau or other data visualisation tools
Minimum of 7 years Financial Service and/or Assurance experience
A strong understanding of the Australian banking and the current regulatory environment
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline and/or relevant industry or professional experience
