As a Strategy Manager on the Global Product Team, you will be part of a fast-paced team that is tasked with identifying and building upon the most attractive product strategies for SVB. In this role, you will partner closely with the Chief Product Officer and the Head of Product of Strategy to develop strategies that shape SVB's global product roadmap and offerings. You and your team will play a vital role in defining and supporting our overall product strategy, analyzing market opportunities, participating in ad-hoc special projects, support product level deep dives. As a Product Strategy Manager, you will be looked at as an expert in strategic thinking and will be asked to partner directly with senior leaders across the organization to develop product level strategies for a wide range of global offerings, including FX, Trade Finance, Product Sales, Merchant Services, Corporate Card and Cash Management.
Manage a team of associates to deliver on multiple projects in parallel, prioritizing their work load and supporting their career development and growth
Distill complex qualitative and quantitative analysis in easy to understand formats and stories appropriate for executive and board level audiences
Develop financial models, perform market sizing analysis, and drive other strategic data analysis
Monitor and provide insightful analysis on market dynamics, macro/microeconomic factors, financials, competitive implications, growth opportunities & threats
Develop and recommend creative product innovations, and specific strategies for optimizing existing products and financial performance - including market development, investment prioritization, and other growth strategies
Conduct rigorous, data-driven analysis to diagnose the current state and model future outcomes for business and product performance #LI-TR1
This role will be located in our downtown San Francisco office.
4+ years of experience, (preferably in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy)
Excellent problem-solving skills, including structuring ambiguous problems, thinking creatively, generating and testing hypotheses, and providing actionable recommendations
Excellent project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
Strong analytic thinking and analysis skills, financial modeling, and data aggregation skills
Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting
Strong critical thinking skills and experience with multiple business models
Ability to lead, motivate and develop both formal and informal teams to deliver on tight-timelines and complex projects
Ability to identify and draw on analytical tools and techniques to develop new insights for large and complex business strategy projects
Work collaboratively across the product organization, lead cross-functional project teams, and partner with senior leaders on a wide range of issues ranging from strategic thinking to operational planning
Drive assigned projects and initiatives, including develop work plans and execute deliverables on time
