The Enterprise Portfolio Delivery team is responsible for successful execution of large-scale enterprise initiatives (Projects and programs) at the bank. This role is responsible for overseeing the team of professionals delivering on projects and programs under the data & Transformation portfolio.
The Portfolio team has the responsibility for planning, forecasting, executing, and reporting on a portfolio of multiple projects & programs with an annual spend of approximately $25-40M. The Transformation & Data portfolio currently has several focus areas that include Client Onboarding, Credit Onboarding, Strategic Data Management, finance and employee engagement. As SVB continues to grow as a digital leader and mature as a company, the level of excellence must be exceedingly high in managing the portfolio delivery effectively along with bringing in industry best practices and agile transformation.
Primary areas of responsibility for this role:
Lead a team of senior level professionals (Scrum masters, Program Managers) to successfully deliver cross-functional strategic programs.
Manage and coach direct reports to drive optimal performance as leaders of strategic programs who work with a variety of stakeholders including software engineers, infrastructure engineers, Product Managers, business owners, SME's, and other corporate functions.
Lead portfolio governance and steering committee meetings to manage planning, prioritization, approvals, prioritization, change requests, and risk management
Build relationships with key leaders across the bank to drive a partnership between the portfolio functions and those leaders in delivering strategic roadmaps.
Work cross-functionally with other Portfolio Delivery Managers, technology partners and product managers to stay up to date on initiative progress, risks and interdependencies; resolve dependencies with peers.
Maintain rolling budget forecast for in-flight and pipeline projects - capital & non-capital spend.
Engaging with the cross functional teams on root causes of issues affecting portfolio performance and drive consistency and efficiency

Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor all roles on a portfolio delivery team
Project & Program Management with deep experience with Agile Delivery Methodologies
Solid Technical background
Required Education and Experience
12 + years of experience in project & program management, including at least 5-8 years of experience in financial services, FinTech and/or fast-paced technology environments
Experience serving as Agile Scrum Master/Agile coach/RTE in planning and delivering software solutions, such as online and mobile user experiences, underlying transactional systems, and integrating disparate systems
Familiar with various software development methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), incl. processes, roles and responsibilities, entry and exit criteria, and key deliverables for each stage
Preferred Education and Experience
Specific experience with Jira, Confluence and similar tools and methodologies
An ideal candidate will also have technical leadership experience working with various technology stacks and coaching development teams
