A newly formed product management organization is bringing new rigor and discipline to new product development to help State Street refine our existing, market leading, product offerings. Through information and insights, investment analytics and data solutions, our goal is to help our clients zero in on the opportunities and actions that will generate the most value. We help them decide on a strategy and put it into action.
This role will work with external industry associations and audit firms to understand how market changes impact our clients, along with what clients need to do to meet the industry change.
This role will collaborate with internal product leads to identify updates to State Street systems and processes.
This integrated role will require a proactive professional to identify market initiatives and formulate communication strategies and messaging to internal and external stakeholders.
A strong focus on regulatory strategy, trends and market influences will be critical to this role. The candidate would be a voice for clients and internal teams about how changes in flows should be responded to.
Read, interpret and educate clients and internal employees on the operational aspects of regulations impacting the fund industry in EMEA
Assess, understand, and educate clients and employees on macro level trends
Collaborate with other regions to roll out internal and external education for macro level trends
Own the EMEA section of the global quarterly client newsletter
Host quarterly regulatory client calls in EMEA
Participate on industry groups as applies to asset management industry in EMEA; speak at conferences on regulations and industry trends
Track regulatory changes in region and pro-actively raising opportunities for State Street products based on this review
10+ years of experience in financial services
Degree in finance or accounting; MBA, CPA or similar qualification preferred
Strong background in reading and assessing regulations and the operational impact to our clients
Proactive self-starter who takes ownership with ability to think and work independently
Highly organized, with proven ability to communicate program status
Ability to implement transformation projects with a focus on risk excellence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly developed communication and presentation skills with a superior ability to communicate effectively and present complex concepts and issues in a highly compelling, persuasive, fact-based manne
