JobDescription : The Microsoft Application Packaging Engineer is part of a team responsible for application delivery and who partners with application development teams in a financial services environment with 5,000 devices. The Engineer will leverage SCCM & Citrix technologies to provide users with access to their applications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in project assessment, software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing, user acceptance and communication, and remediation activities associated with large scale software deployments.
Partner with application team members to ensure all technical aspects for deployments have been accounted for.
Solve complex technical issues and develop customized solutions in deploying software applications to a diverse workstation environment
Write technical documentation in the form of test plans, installation plans and incident reviews.
Problem analysis and recovery.
5+ years of experience in software packaging, custom scripting, pilot testing and deployment of packages
Experience using the following scripting languages: VBScript, PowerShell, MSI, C#.
Experience using the following platforms & tools: Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop, SCCM, Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy.
Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (Service Now).
Technical experience in financial services environments is preferred
Technical experience with Windows Operating Systems (7, 10, 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016)
Familiarity with the concepts of ITIL v.3
Strong commitment to customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements
