Department & Team Profile
Operations & Compliance Technology (OCT) comprises of functionally aligned development teams who support critical firm functions such as Legal, Compliance and Operations. OCT develops strategic solutions that support key business processes, including Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting, Position Keeping, Anti-Money Laundering and Trade Surveillance.
Global Transaction Reporting (GTR) Technology serves the global transaction regulatory reporting requirements of the firm. These requirements span OTC derivatives, listed derivatives and cash products. The regulations covered are across America, Europe, and Asia and involve major initiatives.
Confirmations and Statements Practice Area
For the successful candidate, a diverse, rewarding technology opportunity awaits, serving clients trade confirmation and statements needs. Based in London, you will work with a highly motivated and talented team, located in New York, Montreal, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
You will act as senior technologist involved in development cycles of a multi-year programme, renovating the Confirmations platform for OTC derivatives. You will shape the development practices, and help to decompose complex business challenges into deliverable solutions.
You will support and develop the team, acting as a role model utilising the latest BDD and agile techniques to maximize quality and customer satisfaction. You will help evolve the Confirmations and Client Technologies architecture and change management practice.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven record of outstanding delivery, in a technically challenging environment.
The Global Transaction Reporting team is looking for a senior Java lead to join the growing team in London. You will be part of a global team, which also has presence in Glasgow, Mumbai, and New York. You will be part of a dynamic team building systems that are critical to the business and solving problems to meet the ever changing regulatory environment.
You will work primarily as a technical lead as part of a collaborative agile development team.
You will be managing more junior developers in their day to day work allocations and coaching them to grow in their career
You will be required to liaise directly with a variety of stakeholders throughout the firm including business analysts, product owners and other developers within the scrum team
You will be responsible for continuously improving the quality of our system and code base including code reviews and refactoring where necessary.
Sound understanding of Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience as a team lead or scrum master in a similar environment
Experience in banking and regulatory reporting (SFTR, MAS/ASIC etc.)
Knowledge of OTC, listed and cash products
Domain driven design and micro-services experience
