Your new company An exciting, well-backed and fast-growing start-up company in the Media industry, headquartered in Singapore, with a global presence.
Your new role The Group CFO will be a key member of the executive management team reporting to the Group CEO, overseeing the finance function across various group entities. Holding overall responsibility for strategic planning, implementation and corporate governance, the GCFO will work closely with the board of directors to ensure the group continues to flourish and grow rapidly in several dynamic markets. An essential function of the GCFO role would be to spearhead the fundraising and corporate development activities of the Group, and to be in charge of maintaining investor relations, company partnerships and banking affairs. You will be a trusted advisor to the Group CEO, making strategic recommendations on long-term business and financial planning, as well as providing commercial insight and advice across the business. You will also provide sound leadership and direction to the group finance team, overseeing the production of all financial reporting and will lead the forecasting and budgeting processes.
What you'll need to succeed This role is open to international candidates as well as those already based in Singapore, but you must be able to speak fluent Japanese. You will have proven experience as a CFO with significant Corporate Finance & Fundraising experience (candidates from an investment banking background may also be considered). If you have strong corporate finance experience gained in the USA, knowing the ins-and-outs of Wall Street financing, this would be particularly advantageous. You will be highly skilled in data analysis, financial modelling, with an in-depth knowledge of risk management practices and corporate financial regulations. Of course CPA/CA and MBA would be a plus, but your achievements and track record in the CF & Fundraising field will be just as important.
