Securities team manages a team of subject matter experts providing very detailed functional support between Finance, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk and Operations teams and the Information Technology organization.
About the Role
This leadership role requires a developed understanding and expertise in capital market cash securities products materially impacting our balance sheet including structured products, short term money markets, corporate bonds, auction rate securities, treasuries, equities and all types of financing trade strategies covering that activity. This knowledge is required to lead the analysis of highly complex business problems across all business units that they will then solve and support with the automation of process solutions. This role will ensure those solutions align across the multiple functions and strategies within Finance, Accounting, Reg, Risk and Operations as team members will be involved in multiple strategic initiatives across the organization in parallel with all the below daily responsibilities and requirements.
This leadership role requires a developed understanding and expertise in capital market and OTC derivatives products materially impacting the Balance Sheet.
Providing solutions aligning across multiple functions and strategies and also that provides a detailed functional support between Finance, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Risk and Operations Teams and the Information Technology organization.
Strategize with business unit and Enterprise Finance & Information Technology leadership and execute plans within the Derivatives team.
Implementation of process controls, facilitate internal and external audit and for an effective compliant architecture for daily financial reporting.
Market Skills and Certifications
M.COM/CA/CFA OR M.B.A degree with 6-8 + years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Reporting
Knowledge and understanding of financial services industry (Fixed Income and Equity).
Ability to drive organizational change and develop innovative solutions
Proven leadership, team building and cross-functional partnership skills
Strong track records of delivering results
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of Finance and Accounting concepts, methodologies and systems. (GAAP, Balance Sheet and Income Statement)
Familiarity with trading desk operations and Securities systems
Exposure to regulatory framework for traded products, including Dodd-Frank Act.
