About the Role
The Operational Risk Consultant (ORC) is responsible to support the management of the Wholesale Group's Business Process Risk Management (BPRM) program at a Team Lead level. Key responsibilities of this job include working with the domestic BPRM Wholesale Operational Risk & Compliance (WORC) Team on the approach and delivery of following Operational Risk program components: preparing in-depth analysis of regulatory and operational risk data, creating sample data for testing, providing superior methods to view and interrogate analytical results, and making process improvement recommendations.
Identification and prioritization of high risk processes
Identification, measurement plan, reporting, and effectiveness for key controls to remediate risks in the process;
Inventory management of high-risk process and key controls to maintain accuracy and
Change control governance for any changes going through the process.
Perform data extracts and data analysis involving large data sources
Interpret and present the results of analyses in a clear and meaningful manner
Consult with LOB and managers to understand the need for sample data, determine
Best methodology and data availability, perform analysis and gain user acceptance of results
Involvement in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools and dashboards that enable analysis and data visualization
Responding to ad-hoc requests for data and/or presentations from management
Coordinates on the execution of periodic operational risk performance
Able to read and understand the policies, procedures, training and any relevant documents to identify the adequacy, gaps or red flags which indicate the effectiveness or noncompliance to the regulations
Ensuring assessments meet or exceed established compliance requirements and expectations across multiple businesses
Effectively partnering with LOB Engagement, Relationship, and Compliance Managers to assess risks within their respective Processes engagements
Providing guidance and credible challenge for assigned regulatory compliance risk management Activities
Ensure the Bank's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, etc.
University degree in Business or related discipline.
Experience of 5+ years in Operational Risk
Knowledge of Wholesale businesses
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills
Experience in Banking
Strong Operational Risk Domain Experience.
Certification in Risk Management
Knowledge of RCSA, FMEA, Visio
