Department Overview The Risk Services aligns to the Corporate services organization and supports the current, expected demand for business process risk management. The Risk Services team supports line of business risk management and the corporate risk management.
About the Role The primary role of the Operational Risk Manager 2(ORM 2) will be to support the TTIRO Compliance Technology Risk Management (CTRM) function at EGS global in-house centers. CTRM p rovides oversight of global technology guidance, industry standards, best practices and operational risk adherence to technology aspects of Laws, Rules and Regulations in support of Wells Fargo Technology, Information Security, Third Party and Operational Risk Capabilities. A successful candidate for this role will have the ability to comprehend and distill regulatory requirements, evaluate and assess processes, risks and controls, articulate complex concepts in a clear manner, influence change and have the ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment with excellent communication skills. A strong background in technology process and/or application risk assessment including control evaluation (may include internal/external audit experience), with a primary focus on providing oversight to the first line of defense's technology issue management program is desired.
The selected candidate will focus on the following responsibilities/duties -
Providing guidance and best practices for identifying and documenting control gap issues and creation of remediation plans that include clear risk reduction
Mature monitoring and reporting processes for comprehensive, timely and accurate reporting to key stakeholders including senior management and/or risk and management committees.
Monitor performance metrics to understand risk implications, providing credible challenge, as needed.
Design and develop testing strategies, methodologies and analyses; focused on regulatory and authoritative source requirements that evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls
Actively engage in the execution of assessment of controls for regulatory and authoritative source requirements to evaluate design and effectiveness.
Collaborate with other independent risk management teams, for example, Enterprise Information Security, Compliance, Legal and other key risk partners as needed
Partner with FLU and IRM teams to communicate requirements and expectations for regulatory and authoritative source controls.
Capture and escalate credible challenges
Develop and execute IRM processes to monitor and report coverage for authoritative sources through aggregated and thematic compliance analysis.
Create/maintain appropriate process documentation
Ensure ongoing alignment to overarching authoritative sources: Technology Risk Management Functional Framework, Technology Risk Management Policy and Issue Management Policy.
Team management activities
Required Qualifications :
12+ years of experience in operational risk, IT systems security, compliance, business process management, or financial services, of which at least 6 years must include direct experience in operational risk (technology, information security, third party).
Working knowledge of COBIT framework with an emphasis on measuring control effectiveness.

Demonstrated information technology experience in areas such as infrastructure management, network management, systems development lifecycle, architecture, and application support and information security.
Experience developing comprehensive report/presentations to senior management, stakeholders, and risk and management committees
Experience defining and/or developing business initiatives that require collaboration between multiple stakeholders and/or lines of business
Highly proactive, able to work both independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with virtual and/or geographically dispersed teams.
