HSBC are currently seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager to sit within Global Banking Markets. The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for planning and implementation of communications to support the Conduct programme across GBM. The role requires strong content and channel development using a number of innovative mediums, including film, animation, articles and new media. The programme is focused on changing behaviours and delivering outcomes across GBM, therefore a strong background in communications that help transformation objectives is desired.
The Key Responsibilities for the Internal Communications Manager will be:
Provide communications expertise in a number of ways, from supporting individual workstreams, to developing content and materials to launch key initiatives
Provide hands-on comms expertise to support implementation of the Conduct communication strategy and plan, including ensuring important milestones and information are communicated to relevant employees and key stakeholders
Develop central collateral, including our leadership communications guide, e-letters, and intranet presence
Maintain the Conduct communications activity plan
Organise and manage Conduct related events
Manage regular and ad hoc briefings and updates and maintain our library of briefings
Manage the quarterly measurement and impact assessments on
Create compelling and creative content and messages using story-telling to engage employees about business progress and priorities, aligned to our Conduct agenda.
Consider the external implications of implementing employee communications campaigns and projects and collaborate with GBM business communication leads to mitigate risks and maximise impact
Mobilise employees across GBM by delivering key messages through appropriate programmes and channels, considering where appropriate the use of social media channels to reach a broader audience
Work seamlessly and collaboratively with key stakeholders across GBM and the Group, to deliver high standard employee communications plans and activities
The Internal Communications Manager will have experience in:
A proven track record in developing, managing and implementing multi-platform campaigns
Practical knowledge and experience of creating content for Social Media channels
Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives across regional/global geographies
A creative thinker, with ability to think "outside the box"
A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers
Excellent interpersonal, strategic planning and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong knowledge of communication trends and best practice
