TD is a top 10 leading North American bank with offices worldwide servicing 25 million customers. Fraud Risk Management (FRM) is a newly created and evolving 2 nd line function with authoritative risk oversight accountability over the 1 st line businesses and other "risk taking" functions. It is also responsible for driving the evolution and adoption of TD's FRM & GSI (Global Security & Investigations) Strategy. We develop, design and implement the tools, processes, and mandate to assure continuously evolving fraud risks are better understood.
Lead a team of data / reporting analysts or specialists
Lead and execute data/business analysis using various internal data sources to support the understanding of fraud risks, business drivers and related metrics.
Support all relevant projects and initiatives to ensure project data and reporting requirements are met
Work in a consultative role to provide "value-added" insights in the form of analysis, interpretation and advice
Liaise with business stakeholders to conduct effective discussions on reporting requirements, data specifications, priority and timeline to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Support a culture of continuous improvement, implement process improvements including updates to BI intake process, development of SLAs, introduction of project roadmap/status reporting processes, etc.
Ensure team has support and training required on technical platforms
Lead relationships with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
Support team in staying knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank
Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders and business management where required
Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes and sound infrastructure an in alignment with risk appetite
Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert in Fraud Risk helping to identify emerging risks / provide guidance for complex situations
May lead relevant governance meetings or committees and related deliverables / outcomes representing the business on governance and control issues
Responsible for management of the overall team(s) providing both leadership and guidance
Set targets and objectives for the team, and deliver results
Grow team expertise to align with enterprise demand and the Bank's direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered
Foster an environment / culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism
Co-ordinate necessary resources to ensure completion by deadlines Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management, and overall team leadership for team members and provide regular input into team members' assessment of performance and development plans
Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork, and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency
Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers
Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units
Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, enterprise knowledge, recognizing emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areas
Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (e.g. strategic roadmap and/or deliverables)
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
10+ years relevant experience
