PMG COO Office is the Operating Centre of Excellence for the entire Product Management Group across all product offerings and asset classes. The team is responsible for Strategic initiatives, new products, change and transformation projects, Governance, Risk and Controls, and Business Management. Reporting to Team Lead of PMG Policies and Operational Risk, you will be responsible for managing PMG as well as selected bank wide policies, with a focus on product and investment suitability. You will also be the subject matter expert for all regulatory changes, ongoing and future and liaise across departments to implement them within PMG. The role requires leadership and effective communication of policies and concepts, managing interdependencies while supporting projects related to products and investment suitability.
Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks e.g. including business, operational, legal, regulatory, conduct risks
Provide senior management with consolidated and holistic view of the risks within their area of responsibility, to assess forward looking risk and to devise proposals to mitigate, remediate and/or prevent such risks
Cooperating with the business on risk related inquiries from auditors, regulators or internal stakeholders
Monitor and assess risk management and control framework for completeness and adequacy, perform controls and operational risk assessments
Partner with BOS Risk team, Legal and Compliance team to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are observed
Build trusted relationships with business partners to provide advice and support
Manage periodic reviews and communication of changes for relevant Bank wide policies
Lead, manage and support Regulatory projects/changes across PMG
Support projects across PMG through providing risk related advice
Knowledge of Private Banking products and processes and understanding of key regulations relating to Investment Products (Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Structured Products, Derivatives, Money Market and Loans)
You are degree qualified with at least 8-10 years' experience; preferably in Private Banking, Risk & Control functions
preference will be for candidates with understanding of product management , product risk, front to back processes and project management
You are a driven self-starter who is delivery focused and possess effective leadership, interpersonal skills, team player, encompassing an ability to build partnerships
Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment with the capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, prevent and resolve issues
