Your experience in risk and compliance management within the financial services industry will be leveraged and developed further. You will bring an understanding and interest in leading risk management practices, including evolving regulatory expectations, and will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing refinement of the Bank's approach to risk management through audit review activity, drawing on your strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
As the Senior Audit Manager, you will manage audit projects of medium to large size and/or medium to high complexity, and support delivery of large and very complex audit activity, in line with the annual audit plan. This will include reviewing the Bank's approach to risk management across a broad range of risk areas (including treasury, finance, credit risk, risk modelling, stress testing etc.) as well as specific business functions. You will be required to assess the adequacy and appropriateness of controls in place to manage and mitigate risk, and work with management to develop sustainable solutions that enhance the control environment, better manage risk exposures and support the Bank's strategic objectives.
You will also have an important role in building capability across the Internal Audit function, working closely with colleagues across the global team to raise awareness and embed understanding of risk management and regulatory changes.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience in managing medium sized audit or risk teams working on reviews with medium to high complexity and/or profile across multiple geographies and stakeholders, coupled with good banking & finance industry knowledge
Track record in developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.
Demonstrable experience in managing teams, with proven experience in developing people in this context, setting performance expectations and providing feedback.
Experience in supporting and overcoming resistance to change. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent listening and interpreting capabilities.
Awareness of approaches and techniques for analysing and interpreting structured and unstructured data, with a focus on driving efficiency in audit execution. Excellent negotiating, influencing and conflict management skills
Tertiary qualified, ideally with Professional (CPA/CA) and / or Post Graduate qualifications with technically relevant skills (i.e. accounting, audit, credit risk, technology).
