JobDescription : Context & Background: The Ratings Division Data & Content is at a pivotal moment in its journey. As the Ratings Division business strategy evolves with a greater customer and growth focus, our data & content teams have a mandate for transformation to (1) lead end-to-end real time flow of our Ratings IP through the Ratings value chain, (2) modernize and upgrade processes, with a focus on deploying new technologies, (3) evolving our teams, talent and culture to enable and support a future-oriented mission statement to enable Ratings IP into the market in real-time.
The Team: The S&P Global Ratings Data and Content Management team is a new team tasked with unlocking data & delivering content to our analysts and customers. The team acts as the main point of engagement with our customers on projects, including analytical partners, to discover and drive new and enhanced content creation through definitions, lineage, mapping, readiness, and inventory. The team ensures availability of content and its end-to-end completeness and quality for both internal and external use, according to our governance standards, enabling customers to make fast, informed decisions. The team sits within our Operating Office, as part of the broader Data & Content team, and works in close partnership with many teams throughout the Ratings organization (including strategic operations, technology, analytical, commercial, etc.) and cross-divisionally with CRISIL and Market Intelligence.
The Impact: You will be the S&P Global Ratings Head of Data and Content Management, play a key role on the Head of Data & Content's leadership team, and serve as the primary owner for "all things content" across a broad spectrum of stakeholders. You have the opportunity to grow and develop the newly formed Data and Content Management Team and be responsible for shifting the mindset of the organization towards advancing, growing, and delivering the end-to-end content flow across Ratings, to help drive our analytic capabilities, customer satisfaction, business results and growth.
You will help to lead a transformation in how we capture ratings intellectual property throughout our processes for the purposes of quickly disseminating high-quality, robust content. You will have an opportunity to create a global team that identifies in-demand content, understanding trends and gaps in the financial markets, and drives execution internally to strengthen our offerings and drive company growth.
Role Model Transformational Leadership through Empowerment and Drive Change as Part of Data and Content Leadership Team
Strong leader of people and change agent to guide transformation from a data and content organization to a high performing, customer-focused content organization functioning as one team.
Act as member of the Data and Content Organization Leadership team, working closely with stakeholders across Ratings and the divisions, integrating Ratings into the S&P Global Data strategy, including use of best practices, capabilities and global frameworks
Place people and culture first in all that we do, using Lean Leadership and Management tools, build an empowered culture and inspiring workplace evidenced through employee engagement surveys and talent-led SMART goal setting
Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team of content leaders, with a shared growth mindset, covering all content areas across the company that can deliver content to customers (internal & external) effectively across the end-to-end pipeline

Serve as the Hub Driving Content Creation by Bringing Together Analytical, Operations, Commercial, Compliance, and SPGI Product Functions to Enable a Strategy Delivering Content to Market
Drive new content creation to meet existing and evolving customer needs, both internal & external, and owning the delivery / realization of business value
Drive, through your teams, project execution and content ownership of strong content portfolios across the entire business and end-to-end content pipeline to deliver on content strategy & business objectives
Partner closely with Data Operations and Data Enablement teams to ensure all areas of the business have an efficient, streamlined, and high quality end-to-end content value chain (including external dissemination)
Serve as a key liaison between analytical and methodological leadership and the Data Organization in order to execute on large scale projects to create new content through criteria, models, guidance, and thought leadership opportunities.
Develop and maintain close partnerships with Ratings and Market Intelligence product teams to jointly prioritize and consistently deliver content in line with product needs and timelines
Build strong global partnerships between content, operations, and divisional product teams as well as across Ratings (such as technology, analytical, strategic operations, and commercial)
Manage communication & perform stakeholder management throughout the organization and cross-divisionally around Ratings' content globally
Enable First-to-Market, Relevant Content Strategy through Buildup of Talent and Knowledge in Financial Markets Content and Services
Understand global, cross-practice, and cross-divisional customer content needs and trends, both internal & external
Monitor global team capacity for the purpose of managing variance in project work associated with identifying, defining and applying meaning to new content for criteria and/or new content generation projects
Lead implementation of workflow systems and re-engineering of process to generate higher ROI
Direct global operational or project teams in analyzing process and operational changes needed across the business
Build team of Subject Matter Experts with deep knowledge of financial services reference data and fundamentals knowledge
Teams should have strong understanding of SPGI platforms and current offerings to understand augmentation and complementing ratings IP content
Strong experience in a range of leadership and management roles across Data, Content, and/or product
Proven track record as a leader for developing high performing and strong execution teams, particularly in content-related domain
Strong domain knowledge & content expertise within Credit Rating Agencies a significant plus
Ability to quickly build credibility and relationships across multiple global teams
Ability to work effectively across teams, foster collaboration, and navigate a complex organization with a high level of EQ
Aptitude to communicate and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, strong prioritization and organization skills
Highly developed skills in influencing and navigating a complex, global organization to executive level
Advanced communication skills. This includes the ability to simplify complex concepts and messages to the essential components and deliver these effectively to a wide range of audiences
Advanced problem solving skills. Able to quickly identify and understand issues and drive towards effective resolution
At least 5 years of content-focused experience, within financial services a plus
At least 7 years of relevant experience, including significant team leadership & management
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
