The CEEMEA Corporate Debt Research Strategist is a seasoned professional role within an established publishing research team. The proper candidate will be able to combine macro and micro analysis to develop a market view and associated trade recommendations to support that view. Interaction with internal and external clients is part of the daily function. The ability to develop financial and statistical models, communication skills and work on a team are critical for success. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how markets work and the interplay of various economic and financial variables. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits.
Focus on CEEMEA corporate credit in a debt strategy context. The strategist is expected to collect, outline and explain information giving insights that drive creative solutions in the Macro environment in which our clients businesses operate. Their insights provide clarity the client needs to make investment decisions.
Interact with clients internal and external as requested by Sales & Trading
Develop relationships with Citi clients
Collaboration with colleagues
Stay informed on developments that have a bearing on the macro environment
Address client requests
Engage in Citi's broader corporate objectives, such as recruitment and training of junior analysts and associates
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge of EM debt markets, economics, corporate credit analysis
Clear and effective communications both written and spoken
Language fluency in Russian, Turkish or Arabic is useful, but not required
Methodical approach and demonstrated organizational capabilities
Good interpersonal skills and proven team player
Possess a positive attitude, drive and initiative
Secure and maintain applicable licenses
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
