Balance Sheet Management role, Debt Product Focus
How will I help? We have a clear vision here at Westpac - to be one of the world's great service companies. The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) helps us realise that vision both here in Australia and overseas - and as one of our Associate Directors, you'll have your own important role to play too.
CPM manages and optimises the broader WIB balance sheet including capital, funding and liquidity management. The product portfolios within CPM represent the majority of WIB's credit and balance sheet exposures . The primary responsibility of this Associate Director role involves undertaking analysis, developing recommendations and implementing solutions in a number of key areas, including balance sheet, capital and liquidity management and portfolio optimisation.
The successful candidate will be required to analyse the revenue and margin performance of the Financing portfolio including trend analysis, behavioural modelling and pricing and identify and implement initiatives to improve overall return in consultation with the wider CIB business. You will also be required to actively plan for the impact of upcoming regulatory changes on the balance sheet, including interfacing with Group, Treasury and the WIB business.
What's in it for me?
In a word, lots! As well as job flexibility and the financial benefits for being part of the Westpac team (like special banking, wealth and insurance offers) you'll be paid well, and trained so your career can grow as you do. You'll also be encouraged to take part in our fun community projects as a paid volunteer.
What do I need?
A degree in a finance would definitely work in your favour, as would your substantial experience in a banking environment.
Knowledge of liquidity and capital regulatory requirements is required; You'll need to be a great communicator - and just as well-versed in managing a whole number of stakeholders towards the one decision (the right one). A team player and a decisive thinker, you'll work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers. And you'll have a drive to succeed that'll help you tackle even the most challenging tasks with an open mind and energy.
What's it like to work there?
We aim to provide one big, supportive team to help us reach our vision to become one of the world's great service companies. As an equal opportunity employer, we're proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility - and champions inclusion.
