As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will help build ameaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to developcreative engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of our support andsoftware development focuses on optimizing existing systems, buildinginfrastructure and reducing work through automation. You'll join a team ofcurious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking bigand taking risks. In this environment you'll take the lead on relevant projects,supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you needto learn and grow. As an SRE you'll be focused on running better productionapplications and systems.
Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manualoperational work
Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blamelesspost-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
Engage with development team throughout the life cycle tohelp develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoringor changes
Identify application patterns and analytics in support ofbetter service level objectives
Design self-healing and resiliency patterns
Design automated software and product upgrades, changemanagement, and release management solutions
Coach or manage teams as applicable
Participate in the 24x7 support coverage as needed

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an softwareengineering discipline
Expertise in at least one technology stack designing,coding, testing, and delivering software
Proficiency in one or more technology domains, may be across-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems withina business or across the firm
Working knowledge of infrastructure components. (E.g.routers, load balancers , cloud products , container systems , compute, storageand networks)
Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
Proficient in at least one or more software languages (e.g.Python, Java, Go, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, andsoftware delivery.
Proficient in the development of automated tools, systems,and services in multiple technology domains.
6 years' experience in building out enterpriselevel applications
Must have strong hands-on developmentexperience on the following:
Understanding of internals of Spark and Hadoope.g. DataFrame, DAG, data partition and distribution, named node limitationsand tuning
Proficient in managing service-level changes to a system,and troubleshooting system level components.
Designs and contributes to performance monitoring andcapacity management tools.
Able to work on multiple large projects that have businessimpact, and is self-initiated. Should be able to provide supporting data orcommunicate business value of the projects.
Is seen as a mentor and key contributor to the SRE Team(s).
