Job Description & Summary A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.
Our Proposals Development team supports PwC's consulting teams in marketing and sales proposals. You'll support the writing and editing process for proposals, thought leadership initiatives, sector specific leadership agendas and other marketing initiatives.
Business Development comprises a team of strategy and operational professionals whose clients are key groups within PwC. The Business Development team works closely with the firm's Leadership team and relevant heads (eg. Lines of Service leaders and Industry leaders) to :
Provide strategic and analytical support towards decision-making in determining business opportunities, market potential, market penetration strategies and market development.
Execute and monitor the progress of firm-wide Markets initiatives to ensure/track goals are met;
Evaluate and make recommendations for change, where needed and facilitate discussions on growth opportunities and trends.
Support key accounts' proposals, such as working with practice people to craft key messages, refine the value propositions and points of view and also manage to proposals timelines and requirements.
As a member of our Business Development & Research team, you will play an active role in the firm-wide key accounts programme, change management initiatives and act as a key liaison for our various service lines. This is an internal client facing role.
1. Key Accounts programme
Manages the key accounts programme and recommend new ideas/initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the programme in bringing value that the client is looking for.
Act as a focal point that connects information with our people as and when appropriate, to encourage proactive client conversations.
2. Industry programme and strategic desk initiative
Supports the firm-wide industry programme and Industry Leaders working with designated industry teams. Where applicable, this involves liaising with the Business Research team, Marketing & Communications and/or other units across the firm.
3. Bid/pitch and proposal management
Facilitates discussions on moving Targets to opportunities, driving focus on the complexity of business issues and where PwC has distinctive strengths to assist
Actively involved in helping develop client focused proposal documents working with LoS team members as well as project manage timelines on large/strategic proposals and presentations
4. Change management
Works with Leadership team to drive firm-wide business development framework and how this will apply/customised to each Line of Service
Tracks progress on agreed KPIs and liaison with Global PwC team, where necessary
Support Markets digital initiatives, such as automation, use of data analytics and visualisation to help improve internal reporting and decision making.
5. Sharing viewpoints to further relationships
Establish, maintain and expand the network and relationships between the firm and relevant agencies and external stakeholders.
Skills and Knowledge
Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Law. A post graduate degree eg Masters degree would be an added advantage
Knowledge of market intelligence practices and methodologies is desirable
Analytical and proficient in analysing data to formulate recommendations, good business writing skills and Internet savvy with strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (particularly PowerPoint and ability to translate business language into compelling visuals)
