Operations is responsible for correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating operational risk, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and Automation. Team and Role Profile
This role is within the Platform Enablement team and is responsible for leading key aspects of the Global Operations Change Strategy, specifically Agile Adoption. The individual will be responsible for driving the Agile strategy across Operations. This involves enabling a new operating model and adopting new ways of working to achieve exceptional business results. In support of the Firm's transition to Agile and in connection with the "PACE" strategy, the individual will be responsible for enabling new project delivery methods and continuously improving Operations delivery capability. The individual may also drive broader aspects of the process excellence agenda, which includes process modelling, process design and opportunity identification. The individual will report to the Head of Platform Enablement in NY.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Drive adoption of the Agile strategy for Operations by providing thought leadership and direction, and establishing and promoting best practices and tools. - Work with stakeholders to understand their priorities and align the outcome of the program with the organization's overall business goals. - Partner with Operations and Technology stakeholders and the Agile CoE to develop and refine the Agile adoption roadmap. - Support prioritized Agile initiatives by executing and tracking the Agile adoption plan. - Enable Operations talent transformation by defining and realigning roles and responsibilities. - Define and execute Agile coaching strategy, including long-term sustainability goals for Operations. - Assess Agile training needs and ensure the training curriculum is sufficient to meet the programs objectives. - Develop mechanisms to monitor and continuously assess the program?s progress including the tracking of business outcomes, KPIs and Agile productivity metrics. - Develop Agile communication strategy for Operations and support overall governance of the program. - Manage vendors to execute and accelerate adoption of the Agile strategy, including hiring and evaluation of vendor resources. - Support functional Change teams in the development and successful implementation of the Operations Change Strategy, which may include areas outside of Agile such as process mapping and data analytics.
The successful candidate will operate across various initiatives and perform a variety of functions.
They must be able to demonstrate the following skills or experience:
- University degree or equivalent with Significant experience in an Operational role. - Experience with leading transformation programs in the Financial Services Industry, ideally within Operations or Technology. - Ability to present to senior management and organize information meaningfully and logically. - Ability to present to senior management and organize information meaningfully and logically. - Ability to partner with senior stakeholders within Operations and Technology to deliver on priorities. - Flexibility and willingness to engage in and lead a wide range of initiatives. - Ability to work well and influence teams across multiple locations. - Solid understanding of products, business and operational knowledge. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Ability to challenge the status-quo, think strategically and provide insight into how to improve existing business and technology processes. - Strong analytic and problem solving/process improvement skills; ability to learn quickly and solve poorly defined problems. - Experience and proven record in delivering across the full project life-cycle for both process and technology driven projects.
