This is an exciting Opportunity to join a Trans-Tasman team as a Controls Testing Specialist, for a permanent opportunity. This role can be in Sydney or Melbourne and will be reporting into our dynamic and fast paced Risk Assurance team located in New Zealand For your role to make a difference, you will be an experienced risk professional with exceptional organisational and lateral thinking skills. You will enjoy working in ambiguous and fast paced environments applying your skills with a diverse range of stakeholders across the IAG Group.
Support and build a control assurance programme of work.
Perform ongoing and routine testing of a predefined suite of technical controls.
Monitor control dashboards / making enquiries of / escalating to people leader and / or risk and control owners.
Proactively identify control gaps and potential risks though testing escalating as appropriate to your people leader.
Contribute to and implement continuous improvement opportunities from a design and operating effectiveness perspective for the control environment.
Provision of advice and guidance to control testing analysts.
Other ad hoc requirements as defined by people leader.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience working in the field of operational risk, preferably in the Insurance and/or Financial Services Industry.
Experience in control design and testing in a technology environment preferably in large corporate environments.
Familiarity with common technology industry standards such as NIST or Cobit 5 preferred.
High level of understanding of technology / technical concepts.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyse and interpret data.
