JOB DESCRIPTION You will be part of the Market Intelligence & Product Strategy team, which is in charge of market intelligence and is at the heart of product innovation and development. The team carries out market research and monitors our competitors through real-time analysis and screening of new ideas and trends among products and client solutions and is also in charge of determining Candriam product strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES As a CANDRIAM Marketing Intelligence & Product Strategy Analyst, your asset management experience and knowhow will contribute to the team through:
Market and industry research for Candriam, notably concerning product innovation, the local and global competitive landscape, trends impacting the fund management industry and sector players, as well as analysing fund specifications, management procedures and ESG practices among sector competitors.
Producing (i) regular reports for the management (covering competitors, assets and capital flows, product innovation, etc.) and (ii) periodic reports on specific market segments, products and players.
Drafting supporting analyses for new strategy proposals and investment product development and solutions, competitive positioning and tariffs.
Analysing client segments, particularly institutional clients (pension funds, insurance groups, etc.) including market size, outsourcing practices, asset allocation trends and regulations, in order to help determine commercial strategy
You will report to the Head of Market Intelligence & Product Strategy and be based in Brussels.
Finance or economics diploma
Experience (2 - 5 years) in fixed income asset management as a market intelligence analyst or in a role focusing on sales, asset management or strategic marketing
In-depth knowledge of the asset management industry
Knowledge of investment management processes and investment risks
Fluent written and spoken English and French, with other languages considered an advantage
Office desktop software proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Morningstar, Bloomberg and VBA
Knowledge of Broadridge or MiM is considered an advantage
