Marketing Technology, Analytics & Insights (MTA&I) supports the central marketing function within TD Bank Group with high quality, innovative, and insightful data to help build value for our customers and shareholders. MTA&I staff are located in Toronto, with satellite offices in Ottawa (MBNA brand) and New Jersey (TD Bank America's Most Convenient Bank). It supports most consumer facing TD Bank Group lines of businesses.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Consumer Behaviour Centre of Expertise (COE), a small and agile team of researchers and analytics experts with a mission to develop deeper and more integrated knowledge of the consumer through research, analysis, innovation, and story-telling. You will use your analytical expertise to collaborate with researchers and other stakeholders on insight projects with a customer focus and enterprise-wide applications, and to help enhance customer experience and elevate the TD brand.
Collaborate with partners on analytics and insight initiatives to develop a deep and integrated view of TD's priority consumer groups with a focus on enterprise-level application
Lead analytical projects and present insights back to partners to drive strategic decisions and continuous improvement
Design effective test and learn and measurement strategies for experiments leveraging behavioural insights
Seek out, test, and scale new methodologies of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data and generating insights
Build partnerships with brand and customer experience strategy teams, and other members of the COE
Educate business partners and build awareness on how to interpret the data and analytics to drive decision making that will move the business forward
Proactively provide analytical guidance to partners, based on understanding of their businesses, where you see opportunities to optimize marketing spend
5+ years of experience in marketing analytics or related fields
Degree in statistics, sciences, engineering, economics or other quantitative discipline, preferably at post-graduate level
Experience in statistical modeling
Proficiency in SAS/SQL
Knowledge of HADOOP based systems and tools, and open source languages such as R, PYTHON an asset
Knowledge of brand or customer experience measurement an asset
Experience with IBM Campaign (UNICA) an asset
Knowledge of quantitative methods of Marketing Research an asset
Experience in consulting or financial services an asset

Ability to critically evaluate business problems and formulate appropriate analytical solutions
Have a broad understanding of data, analytical tool and methods and where analytics may add value to marketing and/or business
Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of using data to understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening, and what can be done to resolve the issue
Strong understanding of test and learn and experimental design
Self-starter. Able to identify new opportunities and have the drive and ability to bring them to life
Strong interpersonal skills with experience in driving productive collaboration with internal clients and cross-functional team members
Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong evidence/data-based storytelling skills; ability to communicate analytical approaches and results in a way business partners can easily understand
Comfortable working on initiatives that are less defined and/or not have established processes or parameters
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment
