We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Development Manager .
Responsible for the marketing of Issuer Services products and solutions to financial market participants such as issuers, borrowers, lead managers, arrangers, advisors and law firms across all capital market segments such as bonds, loans, project finance, escrows and securitization
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, foster and grow client relationships with all financial market stakeholders in order to position the business favourably for Issuer Services products and solutions, and to grow market share of the business in the corporate trust business to corporate and financial institutions clients
Achieve sales revenue targets and increase revenues by generating new business for the business by way of managing client discussions and delivering the right Issue Services product solutions as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders including relationship managers and product partners
Expand business relationships and market share through direct negotiation, client calls and client presentation, including working closely with internal stakeholders such as Global Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Capital Financing and others
Directly handle an assigned portfolio of clients and work with Issuer Services colleagues as well as internal stakeholders to further develop the client portfolio and generate new mandates leading to increased Sales Revenues
Work effectively and collaboratively with internal stakeholders in deal pitches to win new mandates and ensure a seamless deal execution while observing HSBC core values of open, connectivity and integrity
Manage a portfolio of clients against a predetermined set of criteria including target revenues, profitability risk criteria and business and risk filters
Develop and maintain both internal and external referral sources within dedicated portfolios
Contribute effectively as a team player to streamline internal process wherever required
Comply with internal business filters, risk policies and guidelines and diligence measures in respect of deal pitches, deal screening and deal execution including Global Standards, HSBC Core Values and Business Filters amongst others
Bachelor Degree or equivalent professional qualification
Prior banking experience is a prerequisite, with added advantage in client coverage and relationship management, loans and financing, corporate or financial institutions client management background or capital markets or capital financing
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, Mandarin and Cantonese would also be preferred as the candidate would cover HK and selected China clients
Strong collaborator and team player who is able to work effectively with various internal business partners
Able to work collaboratively in a pressurised environment
Well organised with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to details with willingness to continuously learn and develop professional skills
Focused and able to multitask across multiple deal and client work streams
Confident and able to present well
Possess integrity, transparency and high degree of professionalism in work ethics
