Department Overview Risk management at Wells Fargo is organized with clearly defined lines of defense to provide effective risk oversight and decision-making across the organization. Each line of defense is assigned specific responsibilities and understands the associated activities it is expected to perform.
Independent risk management in Corporate Risk is responsible for independent oversight of risk-taking activities. The function is led by the Chief Risk Officer, who reports to the chair of the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors. Strategic enterprise function-aligned leaders in the Corporate Risk organization provide an independent view of horizontal, cross-business risks.
Strategic Enterprise Risk Management Strategic Enterprise Risk Management (SERM) is a group directly under the Chief Risk Officer that is responsible for a variety of strategic functions within Corporate Risk that includes risk reporting, risk governance, risk programs that oversee risk measurement and risk identification, strategic and reputational risk oversight, and risk optimization and strategy.
This current role will be part of the Reporting Shared Services team within Enterprise Risk Reporting and Intelligence (ERRI). This is a newly formed group within SERM will be the central point for SERM's reporting/analytics data needs in partnership with teams across SERM and coordinate technology enablement and data infrastructure with Enterprise Information Technology(EIT) and Data Management & Insights (DMI) to address tactical issues and set strategic direction.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical/ data and/ or technology background with a proven track record in handling multiple projects/ priorities. The candidate should be able to comprehend stakeholder needs, analyze and provide guidance in determining the details of the data/reporting/functional requirements.
Acts as a liaison between SERM and technology teams and collaborate with stakeholders (SERM partners and technology) to define business and reporting requirements and drive the implementation of solutions that resolve data needs, meet business needs, and satisfy regulatory requirements (where applicable).
Lead the in-depth analysis and sizing of medium and high priority data needs, understanding the impact of each need to Risk and Regulatory reports.
Participate in data gathering and analysis to drive the design of near term solutions where appropriate. Solutions may require identifying and solving for a combination process and technology gaps.
Participate in gathering requirements and analysis to drive the development of prototypes or proof-of-concepts as appropriate.
Build relationships and work with key internal partners.
Provide data analysis support to SERM partners, audit and regulatory agencies, as necessary.
Work with user groups and data providers to resolve questions, assess business needs, and recommend changes and prepare specifications for system changes (where applicable).
Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
7 + years of business systems analysis experience, business systems design experience, or a combination of both .
Experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting complex business/systems/data requirements
Strong ability to interpret technical and non-technical information and translate it appropriately to customer.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills that demonstrate ability to evaluate potential risk quickly
Ability to track and monitor project progress, identify project and process gaps, recommend controls and communicated progress to business leaders
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with Wells Fargo risk systems such as Shared Risk Platform (SHRP), Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), or Control Risk Analysis System (CRAS +)
Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle)
Previous experience with JIRA
Previous experience working within an agile/scrum environment
