The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader in energy, metals, and agricultural product trading worldwide whose professionals trade in both physical and derivative commodity risk.
Morgan Stanley is looking to hire an experienced metals trader to join the team in London. The role primarily entails providing access to base metals markets by quoting and actively managing risk on non-ferrous metals. Candidate will be part of a Global team and will work closely with senior traders and sales teams in providing ideas and support clients.
Skills required (essential)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Previous experience in a Commodities division or capacity within a sell side firm. A track record in cross asset systematic strategies / risk premium experience highly beneficial.
Solid understanding of derivatives trading and experienced in trading and risk managing
Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with a keen desire to work in a Sales & Trading environment.
Full awareness of our changing regulatory landscape and its future impact on resource allocation.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; must have confidence in telephone, written and face to face interactions.
Persistent self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a high pressure, high frequency trading environment.
Excellent team player with an entrepreneurial attitude.
Strong attention to detail.
