SCOPE: This is a role within Enterprise Risk Reporting with a focus on Operational Risk Reporting. The Operational Risk Reporting team is responsible for providing quality and timely management information to key stakeholders to drive meaningful operational risk discussions within Businesses, Functions and at Group Committees. RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate is expected to: · Develop a clear understanding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, Operational Risk Type Framework, Operational Risk policies and processes as well as the governance and reporting necessary to ensure effective risk management · Understand governing principles of BCBS239 that drive underlying requirements for reporting standards for our priority reports · Foster effective partnerships with Operational Risk teams at the Group, Country and Regional levels to understand key stakeholder needs and to ensure appropriate support is extended · Develop close ties within Enterprise Risk Reporting to leverage technology, experience and best practices across reporting teams · Review and analyse monthly risk indicators to assess the status of the current control environment, prepare relevant write-ups and address senior management queries for monthly Group and Regional committee reports · Work with both the onshore and offshore Operational Risk Reporting team to design, develop and put to production informative reports that support timely and appropriate risk decisions · Understand the implications of regulatory, policy and framework changes on risk information that should be reported and drive the implementation and automation of such changes · Regularly challenge the status quo and look for opportunities to enhance existing ways of working
PRE-REQUISITE / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: · Initiated and a self-starter, willing to work under tight timelines when necessary and willing to take on new challenges · A team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross-functional, culturally-diverse and geographically spread-out teams · Track record in maintaining good stakeholder relationships, a clear communicator and ability to manage multiple priorities at any one point in time · Proven effectiveness in identifying and communicating key messages in management reports or presentations - ability to explain complex concepts in a concise and effective manner · Experience in data analysis, writing and preparing risk reports is preferred · Some background in Operational Risk is desirable · Comfortable in handling large amounts of data and possesses an analytical mind. Experience using Tableau is advantageous
