The Financial Accounting,Infrastructure & Reporting (FAIR) team is responsible for the GlobalFinance organization Data Acquisition & Consumption (including Credit Risk& Treasury), Financial & Management Reporting, and General Ledger (GL)Target Platform Strategies. The team has established a consolidated frameworkthat creates opportunities for broad-scale communication, streamlinedgovernance, and increased oversight. A key objective of the BusinessArchitect Team is to manage the delivery of large scale infrastructure programsand business process change management events to ensure accurate, complete andconsistent data is readily available for both internal financial reporting andexternal regulatory reporting purposes, consumed by both LOB stakeholders andcorporate groups. One of the top prioritiesacross Global Finance, Credit Risk, and Treasury is to evolve the organizationto a more integrated data and reporting strategy - one that is globallyconsistent and usable for business, finance, risk and regulatory requirements. As a member of the FinancialAccounting, Infrastructure & Reporting - Features & Functions, youwill work closely with Line of Business stakeholders, data Subject MatterExperts (SMEs), Consumers and technology teams across Finance, Credit Risk& Treasury and the various Program Management teams. The Financial Accounting,Infrastructure & Reporting - Features & Functions team isresponsible for developing solutions for feed management (function responsiblefor tracking the arrival and departure of data from various platforms such asFRW/Everest), reconciliation (function that compares transactions and positionsbrought on to FRW / Everest to the General Ledger to ensure the accuracy andvalidity of financial information), data validation and error corrections(function responsible for ensuring that transactions and positions brought onto FRW / Everest is suitable for use by running business-defined validationrules against them, and if not met, provide the ability to correct the data)and adjustments (function that provides the ability to amend the data in FRW /Everest for missing risk or to correct existing records as needed). Thesefeatures are critical to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data sentdownstream for external and internal reporting purposes. The Finance Risk Warehouse(FRW) is a firm-wide platform, which sources transaction level data across allLOB's and products for use by downstream consumers. Everest is the nextevolution of FRW using Big Data and strategic Logical Data Models. Responsibilities: As part of the Financial Accounting, Infrastructure &Reporting (FAIR) - Features & Functions team you will have a variety of responsibilities, including butnot limited to:
Perform user acceptance testing and form an opinion aboutthe overall features & functions pertaining to each change
Assist in determining feature recommendations
Assist in identifying pragmatic feature solutions fortransitioning from various non-strategic solutions to Everest
Act as an interface with control partners, ensuringprojects comply with all risk and control
Assist in defining project requirements and deliverablesby identifying, driving and participating in project milestones, phases as wellas specific action items
A ssist in the creation of more efficient, integratedoperating models and infrastructure
Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progressand quality, managing issue resolution and taking corrective action asnecessary
Actively participate and collaborate in work streammeetings and ad hoc working sessions including driving agendas, preparingmeeting minutes and keeping track of agreed actions
In partnership with Implementation leads, Releasemanagers, Project managers and other data SMEs understand various Lines ofBusiness and asset class data and source system flows and complexities as itrelates to the Finance and Risk applications and infrastructure
Work in an Agile framework to write business requirements(in the form of user stories) to enhance the data and/or toolsets
Assist inprioritization of the backlog of user stories for delivery, based on alignmentto the schedule deployment plan
Engage withdevelopment teams to ensure business needs are translated into appropriatetechnical specifications, and acceptance criteria is met
Other ad-hocrequests as assigned
At least 2 yearsof overall work experience (financialservices and/or regulatory reporting is a plus)
Experience withunderstanding and testing large quantities of data across multiple products
Experience withAgile delivery and the JIRA tool a plus
Ability to quicklylearn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
Proficientorganizational and problem-solving skills
Proficient verbaland written communication skills
Ability to buildstrong relationships with partner teams
Must be detailoriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines
Overall strongdesktop skills with particular emphasis in Excel
Experience inplanning, coordinating, and delivering results across multiple teams andinterdependencies
Knowledge andexperience of traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash) and trading products(Derivatives and Securities) a plus
