Our client is a leading global brokerage and investment group that's looking to hire a veteran senior project manager that will help expand and grow the company's FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities)-EQD (Equity Derivative) Global IT Team. You will gain great exposure to the business by working closely with various department heads within the company (FO, RMO, Ops, Compliance, Finance, and Product Control), their teams, and IT delivery teams across HK, India, London and NY. Based on information from these various stakeholders, you will establish a strategic product roadmap that will help FICC and EQD business requirements align with overall IT strategy. As a highly senior figure in the company, you will be allowed a great degree autonomy with the authorization to negotiate with vendors directly. You will play a leading part in changing the internal FICC-EQD IT system of a company that has over 2,000 professionals across more than 20 cities worldwide.
Develop strategies to maintain or improve the firm's global IT system.
Monitor and guide the company's FICC & EQD Global Markets IT Team.
Report to the overall Senior IT Project Manager.
Mainly second point of call for the business, but will have projects in which will be the first call
Stakeholder management (Internal HODs/teams and external vendors/clients)
Hands on Business Analyst responsibilities.
Work on various small projects at once.
Talk with CIO on a regular basis to report, monitor and restructure changes in priorities.
10 - 15 years of experience, but open to 7 - 10 years of experience
FICC or EQD experience (only OTC, not listed, so no Cash Equities only experience)
Experience in implementation of IT projects
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with business and technology
Good to have:
Mandarin and/or Cantonese Fluency
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer or IT related areas
Large exposure to the business on a global scale
Negotiate with vendors directly
Have more overall decision power than working in a large sized group.
