Undertake the role of Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration, ensuring the firm meets SRA (Solicitors Regulatory Authority) obligations.
Relationship management of and working closely with the Managing Partner, leaders of the 5 Practice Groups in the firm and the Partnership.
Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including clients, advisors and tax advisor on partnership matters.
Liaise with auditors to manage the production of year end accounts as well as financial and SAR account rules audits. This will include negotiation of engagement terms, management of audit process and presentation of the final accounts to the partnership for approval.
Cash and treasury management with the ultimate goal of managing the firm's liquidity and mitigating any operational, financial and reputational risk.
Control, oversee, review, and adherence to the budgets for each practice group and business support team.
Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
Key member of the steering committee for choosing and implementing a new practice management system.
Lead a team of 10 and provide training and development.
Undertake financial training to Fee-earners and support staff.
Provide management reporting and consolidated accounts.
Stewardship and accountability for client monies across 2 entities.
Facilities management for a separate team of 5.
Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
