They are looking for a highly motivated graduate with 3-5 years' relevant experience, gained within either an Investment Bank or a major accountancy firm, who is now seeking to move into private equity within a small, experienced and ambitious team.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the senior members of the team, including the partners, with all aspects of private equity fund management, including deal origination, assessment and execution
Preparing market summaries and reports covering sub-sectors within the funds' overall chosen sectors
Carrying out preliminary assessment of individual investment opportunities, including financial modelling and writing investment reports
Assisting in due diligence and other aspects of new investment execution, including exposure to legal documentation
Working with portfolio companies to assess add-on acquisitions and capital expenditure projects
Assisting with the preparation of portfolio companies for realisation and working on the ultimate exit process for individual portfolio companies
Preparation of information materials for existing or potential investors
The successful candidate will be ambitious and a self-starter, comfortable working with both entrepreneurs and senior executives within relevant advisory firms. The individual will have an excellent academic track record, including very strong A-levels and a degree from a leading University. Minimum requirements include:
3-5 years of post-graduate work experience, gained either within investment banking, a leading strategy consulting firm or the corporate finance department of a Big 4 accountancy firm
Strong quantitative/analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling
Excellent communication (both written and verbal), inter-personal and organisational skills
Fluency in English
Entrepreneurial mind-set, with a willingness to assist in all aspects of the business
