What it's about In this position, you will join Partners Group's Private Equity Directs team in Zug with responsibilities across all aspects of private equity lead investments, including sourcing, due diligence and deal execution, ongoing monitoring and value creation and divestitures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing and selectively leading due diligence workstreams on prospective investments (e.g. financial, commercial, tax and legal due diligence)
Drafting and presenting investment recommendation documents
Modeling business plans, LBO structures and investment returns
Contributing to the negotiation and drafting of legal transaction documentation (e.g. SPA, SHA, MIP)
Supporting portfolio companies throughout our investment period (including the planning, execution and monitoring of value creation initiatives)
Proactively source investment opportunities from your network, investment partners, advisors and other industry contacts
Conducting various other tasks related to product reporting, market research and marketing efforts

The successful candidate should demonstrate:
Top academic credentials from a leading university
3-5 years of relevant full-time work experience in private equity, M&A, management consulting, leveraged finance or transaction services
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
Proficiency in financial modeling and in drafting investment proposals
Superior organizational skills (planning, scheduling, coordinating and time management)
Excellent teamwork skills within international settings
Excellent language skills - proficiency in English, additional European language(s) is a plus
A high energy level coupled with a strong desire to learn and succeed, along with an impeccable work ethic and a professional demeanor
