Assist Country and Regional Heads of Treasury Risk in identifying, assessing and monitoring of Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book for Singapore, Brunei, Philippines and Australia.
Understand and implement relevant policies and procedures guides for liquidity, IRRBB and FTP across countries of responsibility and be subject matter expert for local country stakeholders.
Assist Treasury Markets, Risk and ALCO by identifying trends in the liquidity metrics, balance sheet funding positions/headroom and CoF and deployment yields.
The Role Responsibilities
Responsible for oversight/review of all applicable Treasury Risk exposure/reports for country of responsibility.
Review and challenge of exposures monitoring and reporting for structural liquidity metrics.
Daily Review and Analysis on key liquidity metrics such as LCR and Survival Horizons for countries of responsibility
Highlight trends and risks/concentration for liquidity and funding risk and analysis on CoF and Deployment yields for Commercial balance sheet.
Support Country and Regional Head of Treasury Risk in ALCO process by providing analysis on risk exposures, trends and on updates to relevant group liquidity and IRRBB policies/procedures
Support team delivery for Ad-hoc projects related to Liquidity and IRRBB policies and model implementations in country
Manage the workflow in market and liquidity risk, including prioritization to meet required deadline and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, rules and regulations, and that documented procedures are up to date at all times; investigate and promptly resolve or escalate any irregularities.
Implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operational risk management.
Liaise with internal / external auditors and regulators where appropriate.
Ability to combine the business requirements with the need for controls through application of procedures, processes and adherence to policies.
Ability to quickly assess a situation and advise business an appropriate course of action and the ability to implement decisions in a pressurized work environment
Our Ideal Candidate
Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance/Accounting or in a quantitative area.
5-8 years experience with proven track record in achieving challenging performance objectives.
Self-motivated, energetic and result oriented.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return.
Willingness and ability to work and deliver on tight/challenging deadlines.
Good understanding of liquidity risk and IRRBB concepts tools/techniques and ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return.
Good knowledge of FM and Commercial Balance Sheet products and support systems.
Sound understanding of accounting principles and conventions.
Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Office, MS Access, VBA etc.
