The role in short is to be based out of Singapore taking ownership to run the revenues and sales team for the SEA region. Our client is looking for an experienced Fixed income sales profile ideally with good institutional experience gained from driving a fixed income business in Asia or the SEA region, ideal level of experience would be SVP or Director level. Experience within either a credit or rates capacity is desirable. There is a strong emphasis on someone to be able drive sales and adoption in the region.
Given the focus of the role and seniority of the market you will face, a strong track record in fixed income or FICC will be needed. You will act as the face of the region whilst driving a team and sales strategy/revenues across the SEA region. The role will involve senior new business pitching, speaking at industry events and driving new initiatives within the marketplace. This is coupled with leading a sales team across this region, so experience in motivating, hiring, leading a high performing sales team is important.
They want a polished and presentable candidate that has good relationships within the region. Any fluency in mandarin would be helpful as this reports to Hong Kong, any SEA languages will be very advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
A Good understanding and experience in CDS / IRS / Swaps / Cash within a sales or trading capacity is necessary. Any exposure or experience within an electronic trading capacity would be interesting, you will have a strong appetite for driving deals and revenues. Our client has ambitious plans for the region so someone must share a similar mindset for market and revenue growth.
