Description of the Business Line or Department The main mission of the Risk Management Division (RISQ) is to contribute to the sustainable development of the Société Générale Group's (the Group) activities and profitability by defining, with Finance Division and Business Units, the Group's risk appetite (adapted in the Group's different business lines) and by establishing, in its role as second line of defense, a risk management and monitoring system. In carrying out its duties, RISQ combines independence from the business lines with a close collaboration with core businesses which are responsible in the first instance for the transactions they initiate.
RISQ/RMA oversees risks on market activities combining the following missions: compute, analyse and certify PnL & Risk metricsdetermine the market risk framework, the metrics used to monitor risks and the reserves for market transactions, validate specific transactions (deal flow), and analyse exposuredetermine the counterparty risk management framework for hedge funds and clearing houses (large atypical market participants), validate specific transactions (deal flow), and analyse exposuredesign regulatory market and counterparty RWA models, perform quantitative audits of valuation models, and approve and manage structural risk and liquidity risk models and frameworks;
Located in London, RISQ/RMA/UK oversees risks on market activities for the UK perimeter. As such, it performs on its perimeter most risk management tasks under the responsibility of RISQ/RMA.
Within RISQ/RMA/MMG, the Metrics Expert analysts and reports the performance of the UK perimeter. He/She reports to the Head of Metrics Monitoring Group in UK. Summary of the key purposes of the role Design MMG target processes and Information System and deploy digital capabilities to ensure adequate Data Production and anticipate business and regulatory challenges (in term of alignment with the group and priorisation)Define UK monitoring and the adequate oversight of the production facing Paris and offshored teams (work on defining the roadmap for the offshore of the agency scope and framework of oversight.. KPI..)Implement new metrics and their follow up and understanding both on principal activity or on Agency business with Client profitability viewRelay of Regulatory inspections and coordinate UK-related projects Summary of responsibilities Participate on the MARK UK view coordination and workings (governance, risk assesments, ...)Define and on setup implementation of all the monitoring tools used in central such as Control Towers, etc.Define the MMG UK governance (oversight and KPI with production teams in Paris and Bangalore)Define the interaction and Management packs with local UK management (stakeholders such as MARK, DFIN, etc.)Represent MMG UK in different projects on P&l and markets risks and ensure that the specificities of the UK are taken into accountResponsibility for ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal Policies that relate to you, your business or other businesses for which you have any level of responsibility.
