Department Overview Independent Risk Management brings a Team Member-based approach to the international talent pool focusing on risk analytics requirements. IRM encompasses roles that deliver insights, analysis and recommendations based on credit and market risk skills, experience and business judgment.
The Wholesale LOB Credit Risk Management team works on developing, implementing and maintaining acquisition and risk models. These models are utilized in acquiring new customers and monitoring their risk profile. The team is involved in designing and implementing new account acquisition strategies.
About the Role: Responsible for refining and optimizing underwriting strategies/decision rules for different lines of business, Identifying KPI's and Monitoring of Decision Rules/Strategies, Identifying and building Controls around Data Usage
Work on Underwriting decision engines to refine and optimize Business Strategies
Monitoring and reporting model use, credit application quality, trends and strategy performance
Preparing review presentations that highlight key performance metrics, explain variances, and showcase analytic findings
Working closely with onshore team and other resources to understand and enhance the data. Identifying and building controls around Bureau data usage.
Underlying portfolio data research and analytics using strong programming skills
Adhere to governance standards to ensure data and strategies are in compliance with policy and are working as intended, address audit/regulatory feedback issues
Support ad-hoc analytic projects
Ability to work overlap hours with US team
Split shift 12:30-9:30 PM or 1:30-10:30 pm
Market Skills and Certifications
9-12 years of experience in Credit Risk Management
Degree in applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis.
Good Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
Experience in leading complex analyses and/or strategy development
Excellent SAS, SQL and Excel skills in performing complex large data manipulation
Read, store, manipulate, efficiently join, and modify large datasets.
Summarize, and produce analytical insights for presentation
Strong desire to work with new data sources - including cleansing, scrubbing and reconciling
Understanding of analytic/scored decision process. Ability to understand and comprehend complex decision rules.
Ability to build and document decision trees and process flows
Experience in building and automating production, and/or performance reports
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete projects on time
Good verbal communication, written documentation and presentation skills
Strong willingness to engage in a continuous learning environment through data and analytics
Provide analytical support for evaluating, implementing, monitoring and executing strategies for customer acquisition scorecards.
Understanding of Consumer and Commercial Credit Bureaus and Data
Ability to identify and manage complex issues and negotiate solutions within a geographically dispersed organization
Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Exposure to Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Qlikview)
Understanding of Predictive models (primarily Origination and Behavioral Scorecards)
Exposure to RShiny tool
Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes and enhancing existing processes
Proficiency with SAS macros and experience in leveraging macros to make processes more efficient
