Job Purpose: The successful candidate will be employed as a Fund Accountant (with Reporting and Data responsibilities). He/she will work with various teams within Alcentra such as Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Investor Relations. The individual will also work extensively with administrators and Alcentra's back office provider.
The position will involve the following duties (non-exhaustive);
Fund Accounting - overseeing production of Alcentra NAVs with third party administrators, including the monitoring and oversight of PPN note issuance
Oversight of calculation and payment of performance fees, costs & charges including the maintenance of Fund total expense ratios and Fund expense budget
Data - responsible for accuracy of data used in Fund Accounting and Investor Reporting, overseeing quality of back office data into Alcentra's FO/warehouse.
Pricing - oversight of instrument pricing/valuation
Hedging - preparation and monitoring of Fund FX hedging program
Investor Reporting - compiling Investor Reports and Fund RFP requests
Audit - oversight and sign off of Financial Statements/fund audits
Tax - oversight of annual tax returns and maintenance of withholding Tax claims
Regulatory Reporting - review and oversight of Fund related regulatory reporting
Assist junior members of the team and offer support as necessary
The above includes preparation and review of tasks
Experience and qualifications required:
Accounting and/or professional qualifications preferred plus educated to degree level
