The Head of RAMS and Third-Party Distribution Risk is responsible for the oversight of Financial and Non-Financial Risks across the end-to-end value chain as they relate to Operational Risk, Compliance, Credit Risk, Financial Crime Management, Transformation Risk, Insurance, and Controls Assurance.
In this role you will be working proactively with leadership counterparts across Risk to drive a consistent approach to risk frameworks and policies, enhance risk practices and drive a strong risk culture.
If successful you will be supporting the Divisional CRO in the oversight, identification and management of risks across the end-to-end value chain for RAMS and Third Party Distribution as well as ensuring appropriate capability, reporting and challenge.
What will I be doing day-to-day?
You will support the CRO in defining the strategic target stage for Risk within the portfolio, defining and delivering leading practice, thought leadership, capability and activities for Risk. You will promote the use of Risk frameworks, oversee deep dive reviews to provide deep analysis on a targeted risk area, and provide insights on heightened risk areas and/or trends that can be pervasive to the portfolio.
You will actively contribute to and in some cases own the preparation of risk papers, submissions etc. at senior forums and committees, and support the management of regulatory relationships including the delivery of any portfolio reviews.
You will provide specialist advice - highlighting risk, process and control improvement opportunities and ensuring appropriate allocation of funding to the remediation of portfolio-based issues. You will engage, inform, influence and negotiate with stakeholders, particularly key business stakeholders, to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and committed and that CRO observations and strategic objectives are understood and prioritised.

What do I need?
You will be a seasoned risk professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management and/or Compliance.
You will also have a demonstrated ability in risk oversight and governance in a range of risk types as well as practical experience in dealing with operational process and procedure in financial services environment.
