The Relationship Advisor serves as the primary support for service requests and implementation activities working directly with clients and relationship teams. Supports in the management of a portfolio of clients and provides assistance as directed by supervisor. Performs assigned functions under supervision and has work reviewed to ensure all regulations, procedures, and polices are adhered to. Support functions may include the client onboarding process, ensuring all required policies for KYC, AML, and CDD are met and ensures all new client relationships meet all required polices and regulations. Works to gain a knowledge of various products and learning to be accountable for advising clients on options to positively influence change in their operations which may include recommending modification additional bank products or programs. Under supervision applies appropriate judgment to assess risk in regards to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering regulations, account ownership, account controls, fraud, fee waivers and overdraft.
Works to gain knowledge and experience on how to develop and maintain consultative relationships with a portfolio of clients. Provides support on deposit and operational issues, including on-boarding and account maintenance. Works under supervision and has a general skill set that is applied to the essential functions.
Utilizes basic knowledge to resolve simple issues and escalates non-routine problems or complex issues.
Under guidance, clients on all activities related to client accounts including assessing risk related transactions and has very limited discretion and authority within assigned portfolio to assess and manage limited risk.
On-Boarding of New Clients or adding accounts for existing clients may include direct action or coordination of on-boarding activities with other internal partners. On-boarding activities are supportive in nature and may include, but not limited to the following:
Gathers information and documents required to facilitate on-boarding
Prepares necessary bank documents and establish client records
High School Diploma or Equivalency PLUS
1-2 year of related professional experience (banking/financial services industry or customer service) OR
Bachelor's Degree desired and may be considered in lieu of professional experience, Bachelor's in progress.
Preferred Education and Experience
Prior client relationship building experience and/or client support, may be in financial services and/or products or retail.
