Private Equity Specialist - CIM Alternative Investments The Private Equity Research Specialist works on a team that delivers the highest level of service to maximize the value and return of investment for third party clients. The position focuses on originating, underwriting, structuring, and assisting with the syndication of European private equity investment opportunities to meet the needs of a global client base. Investment vehicles include funds, club structures, and co-investments. The Private Equity Specialist will participate in the entire private equity investment process including deal sourcing, initial investment underwriting/ due diligence, structuring, syndication, and ongoing monitoring. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, highly motivated, and self-starting individual who is passionate about private equity and meeting the demands of a global client base. Job Responsibilities
Originate and diligence private equity investment opportunities in Europe.
Analyze prospective investment opportunities in Europe to assess most attractive investments by strategy types and geographies.
Perform financial projections and other analyses used in evaluating potential investments.
Assist in the structuring of private equity products as well as the distribution efforts.
Prepare and present investment packages to the Investment and Product Committees.
On-going monitoring of existing and prospective private equity investment vehicles.
Provide updates to clients or respond to client inquires on existing private equity products.
Provide updates to senior level management on an on-going basis as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
BS/BA in Finance, Real Estate, Private Equity or related field required; MBA preferred.
Background or previous involvement in private equity or investment management preferred.
Prior experience identifying private equity investment opportunities for ultra high-net-worth clientele; preferably with a private equity or network that can generate investment opportunities in Europe.
Experience investing in private equity investment funds, club structures, and co-investments.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and firm deadlines.
Must be able to work as an effective, collaborative team member.
Ability to travel as necessary.
