We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Manager, Middle Market Leveraged Finance, Asia Pacific.
Working with the CMB Relationship Managers and Product, to ensure all transactions executed are both Income, Cross Sell and RoRWA enhancing and have a realistic Business Plan and Client Plans to deliver these measures
Preparation of Client Pitches and in depth Credit Papers which include collation and analysis of financial and non financial information, including detailed complex Financial Modelling
Work with CMB Relationship Managers, CMB Origination, Financial Sponsors Group, Leveraged and Acquisition Finance, Syndications and Advisory as applicable, to ensure best in class experience for the middle market Financial Sponsor and identified target Company
Work as a team to deliver the MMFS Asia Pacific and Global MMFS annual operating plan and medium term business plan
Comply with all applicable internal controls, risk, Know Your Client and compliance policies and regulatory requirements at all times
Identify and mitigate risks or potential risks to HSBC, including but not limited to credit, fraud, operational, and reputational risk. Resolve any identified issues promptly, and escalate concerns to management as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns
Become fully involved in the deals and discussions with middle market Financial Sponsors, Advisory Firms and Management and support the Director with preparation for the client and Risk presentations
Interface with Risk to ensure HSBC understanding of the customer risk profile is accurate and up to date
Monitor relationship profitability and performance regularly and ensure adequate product coverage for this customer segment
Deal with client complaints as required
Corporate or investment banking experience, with demonstrated experience in commercial lending and structured and leveraged finance
Experience in originating, developing and managing commercial relationships and a good understanding of all commercial banking products and services, including good commercial lending and trade finance experience
Demonstrated track record in executing structured lending transactions, with proven experience in complex credit propositions and complex financial modelling
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong time management, organisational, planning skills, with ability to manage the competing priorities of deal flows, credit quality and the requirement to drive income
Strong range of communication and negotiation skills, including written and verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations and outcomes, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at a senior and strategic level
Excellent level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
