This position will report directly to the Founder as part of a lean Investment team, and will be offered significant accountability and independence from the outset. The new hire will source and evaluate majority private and public investments across Europe, covering a wide range of sectors, and will participate in all aspects of the deal, pre- and post-close.Responsibilities:
Origination and execution of investment opportunities in private or public business where the team can identify and influence strategic or operational change.
Participating in 2-person deal-teams to meet management teams and conduct commercial and operational due diligence.
Detailed financial analysis, including scratch-building LBOs.
Support in the structuring, negotiation and documentation of equity investments, both from a commercial and technical perspective.
Monitoring portfolio positions, acting as a board observer when required.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
3 to 6 years' total experience, including a full-time role with either a Private Equity, Special Situations or Deep Value Fund.
Outstanding technical ability; scratch-building LBO models is a prerequisite.
A strong transaction history, and consequently an expert understanding of the 'moving parts' of a deal.
The mental agility and propensity for lateral thinking needed to work successfully with a unique and opportunistic investment remit.
Resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit and the willingness to engage positively in a tight-knit team dynamic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong preference for Scandinavian languages.
