EMEA Treasury Services Legal Team
The EMEA Treasury Services Legal Team works with partners across Treasury Services and in other functional areas such as Risk, Credit and Compliance to achieve and support the strategic business objectives of the Treasury Services Business in the EMEA region and globally.
Core responsibilities of the Role comprise:
Responsible for interpreting client needs and documentation requirements from information provided by internal business partners.
Negotiate standard and customized contracts that minimize the risk to the business through strict adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Advising on legal and regulatory issues affecting Treasury Services products and issues affecting particular client-types including regulated entities such as financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, pension funds and insurance firms.
Assisting with drafting documentation for, and project managing, client remediation programs.
Reviewing and advising on new business initiatives, product development and product risk reviews including new jurisdictions and locational strategy.
Advising the business on legal risks associated with strategic initiatives.
Representing the Business in industry and regulatory change forums as appropriate.
Drafting and reviewing policies, procedures and other documents related to regulatory compliance and business operations.
Reviewing customer communications and marketing material.
Developing standard agreements for Treasury Services products and services.
Providing guidance and training to Treasury Services product, documentation, client service, implementation and operations units.
Coordinating and managing engagement of external counsel.
Providing legal advice and support to the Legal Departments' key strategic priorities.
