Business Area Summary:
Client Portfolio Management (CPM) is an expert portion of our investment teams working in partnership with and across distribution channels in support of new business development, relationship growth, and client retention. The team is organized by asset class, providing specialized expertise within municipals, taxable fixed income, equities, and public real assets.
Client Portfolio Management professionals demonstrate Nuveens investment expertise through specialized representations of our research and investment capabilities, competitive product positioning, and timely market perspectives.
Client Portfolio Managers act as market-facing proxies for the portfolio management team, communicating investment strategy, process, and results to clients and prospects, thereby enabling PMs to focus the majority of their time on portfolio management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Support muni CPM team in preparation of portfolio reviews and sample portfolios
Shadow muni, taxable fixed income, and equity CPM team
Participate in new business and client service meetings and calls
Other duties as assigned
The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree ideally in a related field and have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, work well in teams, committed to ongoing learning, display intellectual curiosity, and have the drive to obtain on the job expertise. They also must be able to adapt to change and a variety of ad hoc requests; as well as have the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on objectives within a given timeframe.
Required Skills (Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities to enter the job)
Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree ideally in a related field
Graduating between December 2020 and August 2021
Minimum GPA of 3.0 or better
Desired Skills: (Preferred not required)
Strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated interest in investment management
