You will play a critical role as one the senior property finance credit decision makers in the Bank, where you will encompass a broad cross section of property finance debt facilities - these range from stand along development transactions to large unsecured syndicated facilities provided to listed institutional property clients.
This is an exciting opportunity with broad job responsibilities, which include:
Approval of transactions within delegated authority for the Institutional and Mid Markets Property portfolios
Ensure credit quality of portfolio is maintained including early problem recognition and developing appropriate corrective strategies
Contribute to development of sound credit underwriting standards for property
Leading and fostering a sound credit culture through coaching and mentoring of Portfolio Managers, relationship managers and analysts
Ensuring alignment of business and credit strategies
Assist with strategic positioning of Westpac Institutional Banking in the property space

What do I need?
Key to your success is your track record of superior judgment and well developed communication, engagement and influencing skills with sound understanding of wholesale banking products.
Experience working specialist property finance teams
Unsecured institution level lending experience
Residential development finance experience
Multiple years of credit decisioning of specialist property transactions
In addition, you will be tertiary qualified with experience in some or all of the following areas:
Credit Risk Management
Property Credit analytics
Property Relationship management
Debt product execution
Deal management and origination
Portfolio Management or Asset Structuring
Credit Policy development
