This position is a valued member of the Legal Department, partnering with and supporting attorneys in a wide-array of topics in support of the Boston Fed's mission. What is expected...
Preparing drafts of contracts (using Legal Department templates) and routine legal documents and correspondence
Track and/or monitor pertinent legislation, legislative and regulatory developments, media/press reports and information
Conduct Legal Research as needed
Responding to third party subpoenas
Issue litigation hold notices and maintain the inventory of litigation holds
Assist with document production and due diligence
Coordinate and maintain various policies and procedures for the Legal Department
Administratively support the Banks Ethics Program
Coordinate the response to internal stakeholders on various matters
Maintain case files and Legal Department filing system
Manage the Legal Departments compliance with record retention requirements
Conduct and maintain an inventory of all Legal Department personally identifiable or other confidential information
Perform other duties as assigned.
This position is not required to directly supervise other employees.
Expertise that you bring...
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of an undergraduate degree with applicable legal experience.
·Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and guidance.
·Excellent attention to detail.
·Ability to communicate timely and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with attorneys and stakeholders.
·Must have strong PC and office software skills with the ability to leverage modern tools to aid in efficiency and sharing information with peers.
