We are currently looking for a Corporate Bond Fund Manager (m/f/d).
Schroders' credit platform offers our clients over 20 credit strategies specifically designed to deliver outcomes with a positive performance experience. Today the firm manages well over £30bn in specialist credit portfolios globally. Our global credit platform consists of an integrated research and investment team of over 30 credit portfolio managers and over 45 research analysts. Within the global platform, our European credit team, based in London and Frankfurt, includes 8 portfolio managers, 10 credit analysts and 5 quantitative specialists working together to manage over £20bn in assets. The European credit team is led by Patrick Vogel since 2012, over which time the team have generated very strong risk adjusted performance across the range of strategies, and the business has grown significantly. Schroders have built a strong reputation in credit, and credit has been identified by the firm as a key strategic capability, with huge scope for growth and product development. In the Frankfurt hub the team is managing our EUR credit assets and our Sustainable credit investments of around € 12 billion.
Work closely with the Head of Sustainable Credit and with the Head of Credit Europe in Frankfurt
Actively contribute to the idea generation process and the management of the portfolios
Work on various ad hoc research and analytical projects (Macro and sector reviews, Relative Value and Risk Management tools ...)
Liaise with internal teams in other divisions such as the Economists, Emerging Markets or the US team for research purposes
Prepare for and actively participate in internal meetings (credit research, strategy and allocation meetings) or with companies' management
Masters (or equivalent) at 2:1 honours degree or above/equivalent. Preferred degree disciplines include Economics, Maths, Finance or Science
At least 3 years' experience of investing in corporate debt and sustainable investing
A passion and interest in Investment Management and financial markets
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
A rigorous and detailed approach to making investment decisions based on sound investment thesis working closely with a high quality team
Some understanding of Game theory or behavioural finance desirable
Good understanding of Fixed Income Investments and strong fundamental credit skills
Knowledge of Excel/VBA appreciated
