JobDescription : The Role: Manager, Asia Pacific Taxes
The Location: Singapore
The Team: The successful candidate will be part of the global tax team. He or she will also be working closely with the country controllers who are based in the various countries in the APAC region.
The Impact: The position will assist the Director, Asia Pacific Taxes with the timely preparation and filing of income tax returns, managing tax audits, and the review of US GAAP year-end tax provisions, quarter-end provision and return to provision calculations in Global Access for current and deferred taxes for about 40 legal entities across over 10 countries in the APAC region.

Preparation of the monthly and quarterly tax payable reconciliations; preparation of the US GAAP quarter and year-end tax provisions and return to provision calculations for all Singapore entities; and review of the US GAAP quarter and year-end tax provisions and return-to-provision calculations for Asia Pacific entities
Prepare the Singapore income tax returns and supporting work papers and assist with other Singapore tax compliance issues
Assisting the Director, Asia Pacific Taxes on APAC tax projects, M&A, and Transfer Pricing; other analysis and research as appropriate
Assisting the Director, Asia Pacific Taxes on the oversight and management of income tax audits throughout the region and assisting the Director, Non-US Indirect Tax on the oversight and management of indirect tax audits throughout the region
Preparation of Singapore tax disclosure notes and assisting with queries from external auditors
Preparation of Singapore International Tax packages that are prepared as part of the US Corporate Tax return process
What we're looking for:
Recognized tax or accounting qualification
Good knowledge of US GAAP and Singapore Tax Accounting Rules
Excellent knowledge of Singapore tax (income tax and indirect tax) and ideally one to two additional Asia jurisdictions
At least 5 years of experience in providing tax expertise in a big 4 tax firm or MNC
Ability to speak up and challenge existing practices and suggest new ideas
Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, use own initiative and work under pressure to deliver to tight deadlines
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and preferably OneSource/GAM and Oracle
Experience in working in a global environment
Review and approve smaller, low-risk tax returns and tax payments
Deal with global contacts across many cultures and languages
