We Offer Equity Capital Markets Solutions ("ECMS") is a key product team within Credit Suisse's Investment Banking and Capital Markets department ("IBCM"), responsible for the origination and execution of equity, equity-linked and related transactions.
UK and Emerging Markets ECM: Team is responsible for the origination and execution of cash equity and related transactions (IPOs, capital raisings / rights issues, sell-downs, private placements, etc.) for companies in the UK and in EMEA Emerging Markets
Primarily responsible for managing the structuring, marketing / positioning and distribution of these transactions
Advise a wide range of clients (corporates, governments, institutions, individuals) from a range of geographies across all industries
Advise clients on their communications with the market ahead of, during and after a transaction
CS is consistently recognised as a leading ECM and IPO house in EMEA
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Work closely with IBCM on transactions and prospects, including coordinating closely with industry / country group bankers and senior management
Continuous interaction with professionals within the Equities division for investor and market insights (equity syndicate, sales & specialist sales, trading, etc.)
Co-ordination and preparation of marketing materials, books for client meetings, analysis of investor feedback, execution of live transactions, investor interaction coordination and other project materials
Keep up to date with developments in the primary and secondary equity markets and advise clients and colleagues in IBCM
Regular interaction with external parties (other banks, lawyers, accountants, etc.), especially on executions
Provide analytical and junior management support to ECM officers
Work on various equity-related investment banking projects whenever necessary
Strong technical skill set and background
Knowledge and experience of ECM products and markets
Strong communication, collaboration, organisation and leadership skills
Ability to work well in a team environment, including large project teams
IT Skills, including good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Ability to develop high quality professional presentations (pitches, execution documents, etc.)
Able to present in a measured, clear, articulate way, especially on technical points
Self-starter with positive attitude, self-motivation and good common sense
Ability to work independently
Interest in markets and equities
Mental flexibility, with ability to multi-task and plan ahead
