The Risk Services aligns to the Corporate services organization and supports the current, expected demand for business process risk management. The Risk Services team supports line of business risk management and the corporate risk management. Operational Risk Group: The Operational Risk Group oversees the management of operational risk exposures and the quality of operational risk management practices across the company. The group performs oversight for different risk types that are essential for a comprehensive view of operational risk. Operational Risk Business Oversight (ORBO):Focused on independent oversight of front-line business groups, the newly formed Operational Risk Business Oversight team will align to each business, with responsibility for aggregating, challenging, and overseeing all operational risks present in the business and its operations. The team will also serve as primary points of contact for the businesses to escalate operational risk issues. Operational Risk Data Analytics & Intelligence (DA&I),Chief Operational Risk Officer (CORO) is responsible for holistic operational risk oversight for every business and Enterprise Control Activity. The Operational Risk Data Analytics and Intelligence (DA&I) team within CORO is accountable for providing actionable analytics and data management oversight across all operational risk types.
Use a data driven approach to identify trends, topics and patterns across operational risk types and businesses in order to inform credible challenge.
Develop analytical techniques that look across and connect multiple data types and sources to support operational risk oversight.
Use analytical models to support ad hoc research or inquiries based on topical concerns, inquiries or emerging themes.
Create and interpret Business Intelligence data (Reporting, Exploratory Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics in terms of machine learning model building, implementation and Prescriptive Analytics) combined with business knowledge to draw supportable conclusions about current and future risk levels.
Extract and analyze data from multiple technology systems/platforms and related data sources to identify factors that pose a risk to WFC.
Evaluate and correlate internal and external trends across different risk types to identify risk, emerging risk themes and understand potential impacts and aggregation risk.
Market Skills and Certifications
6+ years of experience in compliance and operational risk , reporting, analytics, or machine learning modeling;
3+ years of hands-on experience in analytics & reporting function
Hands on experience on SAS-EG, SAS-MINER, SAS-VIA, SAS-TEXT MINER, Python - Anaconda, Text Analytics - NLTK , Tableau and extensive SQL experience.
Hands on experience in machine learning model building on different algorithms: NLP, Decision Tree, Naïve Bysian, Logistic Regression, Regression, Clustering, KNN, Random Forest, SVM & Time Series Modeling.
Hands on experience on AIX/LINUX environment along with Teradata as database.
Hands on experience in implementing machine learning model into production & support through ML Framework.
Strong validation and reconciliation competencies, data mining and intellectual curiosity
Strong presentation skills and ability to translate actionable results simplistically
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A Master degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, operation research, engineering, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences,business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: machine learning modeling, reporting & visualization.
